Submission Guidelines

Who we are:

Me and the Muse Publishing was founded over a decade ago with the vision to bridge gaps and transcend borders through the magic of translation. With a deep-rooted passion for language and romance, we were one of the first to introduce gay and ménage romance books to German readers and have since built a considerable base of loyal book lovers.

Our translators are real humans and passionate about the stories they give their voices to, ensuring that the nuances and soul of the original work are preserved.

What we offer:

• We pay royalties. Translation and publication is at no cost to the author.
• 10+ years of experience
• A highly motivated team who will make your book shine. From experienced human translators to creative artwork and target-oriented marketing, we’ve got it covered

What we’re looking for:

• Exciting stories, intriguing characters and lots of love
• Main character pairings: Gay / M/M / M/M+ preferred, but we’ll consider any other pairings
• Genre: Romance! Paranormal, fantasy, contemporary, sci-fi, BDSM. We love shape-shifters and vampires!
• Heat Level: all heat levels will be considered
• Word count: 15,000 – 60,000
• Manuscripts / books must be content edited / free of plot holes and checked for consistency. We only accept stories written in English.
• HEA / HFN ending
• We prefer complete series

What we don’t want:

• Pornography or erotica, i.e. sex scenes without romance, scat, any form of pedophilia or incest (siblings /parents /children), necrophilia and bestiality (does not apply to vampires and shape-shifters).

What you need to know:

• We only contract German language publishing rights. Please verify that worldwide German publishing rights are available before submitting your story.
